Multistate Trust to Hold Environmental Justice Advisory Board Meeting on June 30, 2022

CAMBRIDGE, MA (June 27, 2022) - The Multistate Environmental Response Trust’s (Multistate Trust) Environmental Justice Advisory Board (Board) will hold its second meeting of 2022 on Thursday, June 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern.

The meeting will focus on recommending ways to improve the Multistate Trust’s community engagement efforts in communities with environmental justice concerns. Board members will hear from community stakeholders and advocates, share information about best practices for community engagement, and offer input on overcoming challenges to engagement.

The Board consists of diverse individuals who contribute their ideas, knowledge, and expertise; recommend ways to expand and improve the Multistate Trust’s Environmental Justice Program; provide guidance on improving communications and strengthening partnerships with community stakeholders; and suggest strategies for pursuing site reuses consistent with community needs and objectives.
