NAVASSA, N.C. (November 12, 2025) – Additional cleanup of contaminated soil and debris began November 3 in Operable Unit 2 (OU2) of the Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp – Navassa Superfund Site (Site) and is expected to take 4 to 6 weeks to finish.
SPRINGFIELD, MO (October 30, 2025) – The public is invited to a November 6 community meeting and drop-in information session to learn about environmental investigations and cleanup work at and around the former Tronox/Kerr-McGee Wood Treatment Facility (Facility) on W. High Street in Springfield.

(July 7, 2025) – Representatives of the Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust), with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ), are hosting a July 10 community meeting to discuss the additional cleanup of contaminated soil and debris this fall in Operable Unit 2 (OU2) of the Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp – Navassa Superfund Site (Site).
BOSSIER CITY, LA (June 18, 2025) – The Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust) and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) are cohosting a community meeting Monday, June 23 to discuss plans to remove contaminated soil along a drainage ditch and replace part of the ditch north of the former Tronox/Kerr-McGee Wood Treating Facility (Site) this summer.
BOSSIER CITY, LA (March 13, 2025) – The Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust) is holding a community meeting Tuesday, March 18 to discuss plans to excavate contaminated soil along an off-site drainage ditch and to complete other environmental work at and near the former Tronox/Kerr-McGee Wood Treating Facility (Site) in Bossier City.
JACKSONVILLE, FL (January 13, 2025) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust) are holding in-person availability sessions Tuesday, January 14 to discuss the $53 million, two-year cleanup project that got underway in January 2025 at the Kerr-McGee Superfund Site in Jacksonville (the Site).
