JACKSONVILLE, FL (January 13, 2025) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust) are holding in-person availability sessions Tuesday, January 14 to discuss the $53 million, two-year cleanup project that got underway in January 2025 at the Kerr-McGee Superfund Site in Jacksonville (the Site).
BOSSIER CITY, LA (October 11, 2024) – The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and the Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust) are hosting a community drop-in session the evening of Wednesday, October 16 to discuss recent off-site excavation of contaminated soil, completed residential indoor air testing, and other environmental actions and investigations near the former Tronox/Kerr-McGee Wood Treating Facility (Site) in Bossier City.
NAVASSA, N.C. (June 20, 2024) – The Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust), in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ), is hosting a community meeting and drop-in information session Thursday, June 27 to provide updates on the continuing cleanup of contaminated surface soil at the Operable Unit 2 (OU2) area of the Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp – Navassa Superfund Site (Site).
BOSSIER CITY, LA, SEPTEMBER 6, 2023 – The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and the Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust) will hold a community meeting and drop-in information session on Monday, September 11 near the former Tronox/Kerr-McGee Wood Treating Facility (Site) in Bossier City to discuss the replacement of the Scott-Dickerson Homes parking lot this summer, additional soil sampling in the neighborhood around the Site, and Site reuse planning activities.
SPRINGFIELD, MO, AUGUST 16, 2023 – The Multistate Environmental Response Trust (Multistate Trust), in coordination with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR), will hold a community meeting and an availability session about studies and cleanup work at and near the former Tronox/Kerr-McGee Wood Treatment Facility (Facility) in Springfield on Wednesday, August 23.
COLUMBUS, MS, JULY 20, 2023 – Multistate Trust representatives, together with federal and state officials, will update the community about cleanup work, studies and reuse planning at the Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp – Columbus Superfund Site during a Town Hall Meeting and a Drop-In Session on Thursday, July 27.
